Germany is one of the most popular destinations among our customers: parcels for relatives, second-hand marketplace sales, exchange students' luggage and stock from small businesses selling to German buyers. At Logística Mazarrón we manage the whole journey over the European GLS network, one of the densest on the continent, with thousands of delivery points across the country, from Berlin and Munich to small towns in Bavaria or the Ruhr area.

The process is simple: you get an online price using each parcel's weight and dimensions, pay by card and receive your label by email. You can request a pickup at your address anywhere in mainland Spain or drop the parcel at a nearby Parcel Shop. From there, the shipment travels by road within the GLS network and you can follow every scan with your tracking number — no phone calls or extra paperwork needed.

Because this is a shipment between European Union countries there are no customs or import taxes: the price you see in the calculator is the final price, VAT already included. It is the practical option both for one-off shipments and for freelancers and online shops that need a clear rate to Germany without contracts or minimum volumes.

Tips for a smooth shipment

Pack with the sorting belt in mind

Your parcel will pass through several automated hubs between Spain and Germany. Use a rigid cardboard box, fill empty space with paper or bubble wrap and tape every edge: half-empty boxes get crushed and are the main cause of damage claims.

Check the volumetric weight

International shipments are billed on the greater of actual and volumetric weight (length × width × height ÷ 6000). A big, light box can cost more than you expect: if you can shrink the dimensions, you shrink the price.

Write the German address in full

In Germany the house number goes after the street name (Musterstraße 12) and postcodes have 5 digits. Always add the recipient's phone and email: GLS uses them to announce the delivery or redirect the parcel to a pickup point if nobody is home.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a parcel from Spain to Germany take?

Typical road transit is 3 to 5 working days from pickup, depending on the area of Germany. Large cities in the south and west are usually at the lower end of that range; the north and east at the upper end.

Do I need customs paperwork or duties?

No. Spain and Germany are both part of the EU single market, so there is no customs clearance, duty or import VAT for personal or commercial goods moving within the EU. You only need to respect the carrier's list of prohibited goods.

What if the recipient is not at home?

GLS attempts delivery and, if nobody answers, leaves a notice and usually deposits the parcel at the nearest Parcel Shop, where it is held for several working days. The recipient can follow everything from the shipment's tracking link.
